The acquisition costs of the  McGrath Portable Video Laryngoscope (MVL, model series 5) are about 7500 Euro (exclusive value-added taxes, according to the offer of the Austrian distributor, queried in July 2008). The costs of the disposable laryngoscope blade for the MVL and the Schroeder directional tracheal tube stylet are about 8 and 5 Euro, respectively.
