The acquisition costs of the entire GlideScope Video Laryngoscope (GVL) system and the replacement costs of the GVL blade used in this clinical investigation were about 5775 and 1700 Euro (exclusive value-added taxes, according to the offer of the Austrian distributor of the GVL, queried in March 2005), respectively; the costs of the Schroeder directional tracheal tube stylet are about 5 Euro.
